Technical details: an area reserved for the architect?

A reflection on the "production" of detail was initiated during the seminar, organized by the UPA-BUA, which was held on the evening of Wednesday 9 March 2016 at the AH.  This evening brought together many architects and students and offered them a "plural" approach to detailing.

The interventions of this evening were as follows:

The development of standard details at CSEC
By Clarisse MEES (Senior Project Manager BBRI)
The search for a compromise between the various stakeholders

Typical details in promotion companies
              by Johan VANDENDRIESSCHE (Company T-Palm)
Importance of performance: the cost factor and the guarantee

Architect" details seen by the contractor
by David SMET (Technical Site Manager / Delens)
The detail vector of information / The values added by the company

From sketch to detail in nD dimensions
by Olivier VANDOOREN (Information Director BBRI)
              From design to construction

Learning about detail

by Hervé KROKAERT (Architect Saint-Luc Brussels)
Working on standard details: analysis criteria

The practice of detail
by Sébastien MOTTE (Architect Advisor UWA)
Importance of methodology and points of vigilance

As in previous "UPA Wednesdays", participants were then able to ask questions of the speakers and share their opinions on the topics discussed over drinks.

The presentation texts of the evening's presentations will soon be accessible (via a code) to participants and UPA-BUA members under the "Resources" section.
