Jean Cosse, a leading figure in Belgian architecture, died last year at the age of 85. His career is rich in various achievements: houses, grouped homes, farms, educational sites, churches, monasteries and abbeys ...

Jean Cosse has deeply marked the contemporary Belgian landscape. The tribute event, given to him by the LOCI faculty, revolves around several activities: an exhibition exploiting new technologies, screenings, and the lecture "Donner à voir le monde" by Nicolas Gilsoul.

An initiative of the Faculty of Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Urban Planning UCL, INSTITUTES SAINT-LUC of Brussels, the Professional Union of Architects, the Association of Architects of Brabant Wallon, with the participation of the Maison de l'urbanisme du Brabant wallon - Cultural Center of Walloon Brabant.

18h at the Faculty of Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Urban Planning,
rue Wafelaerts, 47/51 to 1060 Brussels

- Opening of the exhibition "Jean Cosse, the knowledge of the hand"
- Exhibition accessible from 17/10 to 10/11/2018 (free entry) - from Wednesday to Saturday 13h-17h

20h at the Institutes Saint-Luc Forum in Brussels,
rue d'Irlande, 58 to 1060 Brussels

- Inauguration of the commemorative plaque
- Lecture by Nicolas Gilsoul "Giving to See the World" (8.30 pm)
- Screenings of a film and videos on the architectural approach of Jean Cosse (2018)
- Friendship Glass
